Récemment, j’ai eu une discussion enrichissante avec un collègue travaillant dans le domaine de la petite enfance. Nous avons échangé sur les ambiances qui entourent les enfants dans les différentes structures d’accueil.
Il a partagé un point intéressant : “Dans nos salles, nous avons tout le matériel Montessori installé, mais nous ne sommes pas une école Montessori car notre personnel n’est pas formé.” Cela m’a fait réfléchir sur le lien essentiel entre l’environnement, le matériel et le rôle de l’éducatrice ou de la guide.
Dans une approche Montessori, l’éducatrice ne se contente pas de superviser les activités. Elle joue un rôle clé en facilitant l’apprentissage, en observant les besoins de chaque enfant et en créant un environnement stimulant qui favorise l’autonomie et la curiosité.
Il est crucial que le personnel soit formé pour comprendre comment utiliser le matériel de manière efficace et pour encourager un véritable apprentissage autonome. Une ambiance propice à l’épanouissement des enfants repose non seulement sur le matériel, mais aussi sur l’expertise et la passion de ceux qui les accompagnent.
C’est une responsabilité que nous devons tous prendre au sérieux pour garantir un développement harmonieux et respectueux de chaque enfant.
